Suited to a self-starter with exceptional communication and leadership skills, you will step into a brilliant multidisciplinary team of first class professionals within the Forensic Court Service at James Nash House. In this key role, you will be responsible for providing a clinical psychology service involving the establishment and monitoring of quality assurance procedures, program evaluation and the design and direct provision of psychology assessment and treatment services. As the Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will provide specialist advice, assistance, and consultancy services to Forensic Mental Health Services staff, and provide orientation, supervision and support to staff, provisional psychologists and volunteers. In addition, you will contribute to the development of service aims and objectives and participate in the development and maintenance of relationships with key partners in government and non-government services. You may also be involved in research and evaluation of psychological practice and promoting new information and development in the field of psychology.


To be the successful candidate, you must hold an appropriate Degree (Psychology) or equivalent qualification and registered with the Psychology Board of Australia. You must also be in an endorsed field of practice i.e. Clinical, Forensic, Health or Clinical Neuropsychology. Extensive experience in clinical management within the acute service area including program evaluation and service development is essential, combined with a broad base of experience in psychology practice. Past history will also show experience in the effective development, implementation and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures relevant in a hospital setting. A confident communicator with  high level interpersonal skills, you will be capable of establishing and maintaining effective networks and partnerships with a broad range of clients and stakeholders.
