Occupational Therapist - Casual Pool Campaign 2020/21

  • Casual Hourly rates: AHP1 - $32.21 p/hr - $39.34 p/hr + 25% casual loading / AHP2 - $41.58 p/hr - $48.32 p/hr + 25% casual loading - 7 Day Roster

Ensuring continuity of care, you will provide inpatient and outpatient occupational therapy services to promote personal independence and optimise patient health outcomes. Rotating through a series of clinical services, you will apply your clinical experience, knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated assessment and treatment services to meet the needs of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network clients. You will work collaboratively with the Allied Health multidisciplinary team and liaise directly with medical, nursing staff and other community agencies.

If appointed at the AHP2 level, you will work under limited direct supervision and provide direction and support to less experienced therapists, allied health assistants and students. The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network provides care for more than 350,000 people living in the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide. More than 7,500 skilled staff provide high quality patient care, education, research and health promoting services.

You will hold a degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. With demonstrated competency in the clinical management and treatment of a broad range of conditions, you will possess sound time management skills to effectively manage a caseload. Good communication and interpersonal abilities will equip you to interact effectively with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Displaying a commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will also be willing to improve your personal and professional skills through self-directed learning and evaluation.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check. Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
