Trainee Anaesthesia Medical Officer (Non-Rotational)
Providing high quality anaesthetic services to patients of Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH), you will be presented with a wealth of opportunity and the chance to gain invaluable experience and extend your skill-set. The LMH is one of South Australia's finest teaching hospitals and you will have the chance to join a fantastic multidisciplinary team and actively assist with training of staff within the Department of Anaesthesia. Your primary duties will involve providing analgesia to obstetric and surgical patients at LMH, as well as pre-operatively assessing and planning anaesthetic interventions in surgical patients. As a Trainee Anaesthesia Medical Officer, you will participate in educational and quality improvement activities as directed and required by the Director of Anaesthesia and the Supervisor of Training or their delegates.
Critical to your appointment in this role is a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, and you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. You must also have notable postgraduate medical rotations as required by ANZCA. With evidence of a broad range of medical experience, you will have a good understanding of physiology and pharmacology as it applies to anaesthesia. Able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment, you will bring good communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to ethical practice.
