Joining the SA Medical Imaging team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, you will be responsible for the provision of Ultrasound procedures using specialised equipment. Performing complex medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of clinical specialities, you will be operating with a high level of professional independence. You will continue to obtain specialist Ultrasound knowledge, contribute to developing the professional knowledge of other staff, and contribute to professional Ultrasound standards. As part of your role, you may also undertake routine research programs and coordinate Ultrasound quality assurance programs. The new Royal Adelaide Hospital is the largest hospital in South Australia, providing world class health care and facilities. The most advanced hospital in Australia, the new RAH is the cornerstone of the reformed SA Health system and is the major trauma, neurosurgery and spinal injuries centre in the State. With such a diverse range of patients seen, a wide range of imaging procedures are performed in the Medical Imaging Department.

 

You will need to hold an appropriate Ultrasound post graduate qualification, and be registered as an Accredited Medical Sonographer as administered by the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Demonstrating extensive Ultrasound imaging experience, you will bring the ability to perform a wide range of Ultrasound imaging procedures, including specialised and complex procedures. You will be confident in providing leadership and supervision to other medical imaging staff, and be capable of interacting positively and working effectively with all levels of departmental and organisational staff.
