Under the direct supervision of the Speech Pathologist (Department Coordinator), you will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated range of health services appropriate to the needs of the Riverland community. To achieve this, you will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team including health professionals and service providers from other sectors, and utilise a combination of preventative, early intervention, treatment/therapy and evaluation approaches. Adopting a proactive approach to developing and maintaining contemporary knowledge and skills in speech pathology, you will receive clinical supervision, advice, mentorship and support from the Speech Pathologist (Department Coordinator) and Senior Speech Pathologist. Riverland Community Health Service provides therapeutic nursing and allied health professional services, specialised assessment, support services, health promotion and advice on health issues. Our staff consult in the five major Riverland towns of Berri, Barmera, Loxton, Renmark and Waikerie. You must hold a recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession, and be eligible for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). With experience in providing straightforward speech pathology services, including one-on-one, group and health promotion activities, you will be capable of maintaining your own caseload and ensuring the accurate documentation and reporting of assessments, review, referrals and update of own client files. You will be committed to applying client-centred practice and community engagement principles in the provision of services, ensuring clients are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their care.
