This is an exciting opportunity to join the flagship hospital for Southern Adelaide where you will have the opportunity to work with Operating Theatres within the Flinders Medical Centre. In this key role as a Nurse Unit Manager you will assist with the provision of clinical leadership to nurses in Operating Theatres, such as: 

  • Coordination and leadership of projects and/or programs that contribute clinical expertise to improve patient/client/service outcomes;
  • Coordinating and managing projects, programs and/or research to achieve improved patient/client outcomes and/or service delivery

With effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills you will confidently undertake a nurse unit manager role. You will have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, prioritise workload and meet set timelines, and foster a workplace environment that develops staff potential. You will have proven ability for flexibility, innovation and creativity with in the whole of service setting, whilst demonstrating ability in the leadership and facilitation of change management, and promoting consumer engagement initiatives. 

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
