You will provide high quality Orthotic and Prosthetic (O&P) direct clinical services for clients at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital. Undertaking assessment of a variety of clinical conditions, you will contribute to the prescription, modification and review of appropriate O&P interventions. Applying your clinical expertise to the delivery, development and continuous improvement of quality O&P services, you will promote a team environment and undertake problem solving at a clinical and technical level with support from the more senior professional staff. Enjoying productive interactions with patients, families and a diverse team in a positive working environment, you will have the opportunity to influence outcomes for a variety of patients. You will have the chance to develop your O&P skills and experience across a spectrum of areas whilst interacting with a variety of other health professionals. The Women’s and Children’s Hospital (WCH) specialises in health services for women, children and young people and is able to provide continuity of care for babies and children, from conception to late adolescence, as well as providing extended women’s health care services. WCH is South Australia’s major provider of specialist health care for children with acute and chronic conditions, and is the State’s largest maternity and neonatal service serving a population of 1.6 million people, including a large referral base from the Northern Territory.


You will need to hold a degree or equivalent qualification of Orthotists and Prosthetists, and have experience in Paediatric Orthotics and Prosthetic services within a multidisciplinary setting. Along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, you will bring the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate effective time management skills.
