You will provide specific support to the Team Manager in the Community Mental Health Team, ensuring the delivery of high quality recovery-oriented care to the Playford Community. Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with the mental health staff, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Utilising your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the community mental health team. SA Health is committed to policy development, facilities planning and advancing Mental Health Reform throughout the State and the community. The mental health system is focused on improving service integration, governance, population based services, consumer and carer engagement, and recovery focused care.

 

You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or hold a qualification in Mental Health practice. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
