This is an exciting and challenging role for a self-motivated Clinical Nurse to join a strong and supportive Emergency Department team in a rural general hospital. Joining the team at Riverland General Hospital in Berri, you will utilise your strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships across the board to provide professional high quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Striving to improve patient health outcomes, you will assess patients’ needs and assist with planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery and communicate changes in condition and care. In addition, you will monitor client care plans and participate in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. You will act as a resource person, encouraging reflection and professional development, and assisting others to maintain portfolios of learning.  Riverland General Hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from across the Riverland and surrounding communities including the Mallee. We provide care to patients with an acute illness, along with accident and emergency, medical, day and inpatient surgical, obstetrics and high dependency care. We also provide maternity services for the Riverland district.

Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. With a solid background in nursing practice which is responsive to patients’ needs, you will have experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, Enrolled Nurses and less experienced Registered Nurses. A team player with the demonstrated ability to think on your feet and work within changing environments, you will bring a proven track record in working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
