Technical Officer - Talent Pool

• Indicative Total Remuneration*: $48,113 - $69,892 - TGO1; $75,305 - $80,093- TGO2 - Multiple positions: Temp F/T (up to 9/2/2020)

You will contribute to the efficient operation of the Automated Laboratory by performing routine diagnostic tests, including preparation, screening and reporting of specimens. Performing bench level review of QC and assisting with more complex tests and procedures for diagnosis, you will work in more than one area as directed by the laboratory supervisor within a multidisciplinary environment. As part of your duties, you will undertake routine laboratory housekeeping duties and assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. SA Pathology provides quality diagnostic pathology services to the South Australian community, as well as support for training and medical research, through our state-wide laboratory network. Our 19 laboratories are distributed throughout South Australia’s metropolitan and regional hospitals and are supported by more than 55 conveniently located patient collection centres.

Holding a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in an approved and recognised qualification, you will have general laboratory experience and a proven track record working within a team environment. Displaying a positive commitment to customer service, you will bring the ability to complete variable workloads to a high standard and within defined timelines. In addition, you will be able to work under limited supervision and follow written and verbal instructions. Your skill in handling confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner will hold you in good stead for this role.
