The Improvement Coach, Clinical Improvement Unit is responsible to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for providing leadership, coaching, technical and change management expertise to drive continuous improvement activities across the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN).

You will support the organisation to achieve its key objectives in the domains of Safety, Quality, Delivery, People and Cost and drive SALHN’s continuous improvement efforts.

You will do this by leading complex system and process improvement across departments and divisions and building capability in continuous improvement across the organisation through mentoring, coaching and training, recognition and support. You will be supporting SALHN’s Integrated Management System and develop problem solving capacity across the organisation utilising SALHN’s 8 steps to problem solving methodology. You will foster a continuous improvement culture at SALHN where each decision and action is driven by the focus on patient outcomes and experience, measurement, and systems thinking.

For appointment as an AHP, you must hold an appropriate degree level qualification and membership (or eligibility for membership) with the relevant professional association, and/or registration with the relevant Board.

For appointment as an RN, you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate in addition to at least 3 years post registration experience.

For appointment as an PO, you must hold a degree in engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institute of Engineers, Australia.

For appointment as an ASO it is desirable that the you hold a undergraduate or post graduate qualifications in a Business or Management related field.
