Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, you will provide a high quality, evidence-based clinical psychology service to individuals and their families within the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit (BIRU) at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre. The Unit is a designated post-acute 28 bed inpatient rehabilitation ward for clients with a traumatic or acquired brain injury with complex physical, cognitive, communication and/or behavioural needs. Taking a central role in developing, conducting and evaluating behavioural interventions and programs for patients at BIRU, you will monitor service delivery against agreed clinical psychological and organisational key performance indicators and agreements. You may also participate in managing local human and physical resources, providing advice and consultancy to management and professional networks, and developing education programs and activities. This role presents a great opportunity to further your experience in Acquired Brain Injury rehabilitation, and develop expertise in behavioural assessment and the developmental of behavioural interventions and programs.

You will need to hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and/or the Psychology Board of Australia, be registered with the Psychologist Board of Australia and be eligible for membership with the College of Clinical Psychologists. With demonstrated experience in working with individuals with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition, you will possess advanced skills in counselling, conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based treatment and therapy approaches. Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills will also be essential. Past experience in leadership and management of a clinical psychology area is desirable.
