You will be responsible for coordination and provision of high level clinical services for the Borderline Personality Disorder Centre of Excellence. This will involve leading a consumer and carer-oriented service within a recovery framework of mental health care. You will work closely with the Clinical Lead and Country Health SA Mental Health management to lead the activities of the multidisciplinary teams, practices and procedures. You will also undertake management of human resources in matters including recruitment, performance management and for supporting the training and professional development of clinical staff across Nursing, Allied Health and Administration services. You will oversee the management and prioritisation of departmental resources, ensuring that services across the SA Health/Local Health Network mental health system are provided to meet consumer care needs as well as ensuring services are provided to individuals referred to the BPD Centre of Excellence. As part of your role, you may also be required to provide consultancy and strategic advice to other mental health services, general health services and non-government organisations (NGOs).

For appointment at the AHP4 level, you must hold a recognised qualification within the Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology and be eligible for membership of the relevant Professional Association. For appointment at the RN/RM4 level, you will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate and a qualification in Mental Health practice. With experience in established evidence based therapeutic interventions for BPD, you will be confident in providing leadership in strategic management and service development decisions, ensuring service provision is consumer and carer-centred and provided within a recovery framework. You will utilise your experience in a mental health service to consult and engage with consumers, carers and service providers in order to identify needs, and ensure needs of high risk or minority groups are considered in the development of mental health services.
