You will provide quality paediatric occupational therapy services to children in the Barossa Valley and Gawler region. Providing direct clinical care to children ranging in age from 0 to 8 years with various conditions such as global developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder and sensory disorders, you will also deliver services to children under the NDIS. You will work in one-to-one situations as well as group sessions in collaboration with the other members of the multidisciplinary team, and at times within DECD sites. Working under reduced clinical direction, you may contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants and students. You will support consumers through the Patient Journey by providing effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care and prompt follow up. You must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession, and be eligible for practising membership of Occupational Therapy Australia. With experience in managing and prioritising a personal caseload, you will be committed to applying Primary Health Care and Community Participation principles to ensure OT services are responsive to changing community need and improve health outcomes. You will be confident in coordinating an increasingly complex OT caseload and supporting other team members in managing the demands of a service.
