You will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a complete range of medical imaging services, along with the development and promotion of teaching, research and education within the Radiology Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH). Undertaking the management of and assuming responsibility for patients within the Medical Imaging Service, you will provide a consultative service to referring clinicians regarding patient management. You will be available to medical colleagues for consultation regarding patient care, ensuring high standards of practice and diagnostic accuracy. It is expected that you will contribute to the after-hours on-call service. You will also contribute to maintaining standards of performance and care in accordance with the expectations of professional bodies, regulatory authorities and clients. The Radiology Department at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital incorporates all imaging modalities - CT, MR, Ultrasound, Mammography, X-ray, Interventional. Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will have appropriate specialist qualifications in Radiology and be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration. This will be supported by proven experience and competence in a broad range of Medical Imaging modalities including ultrasound, CT, MR, breast imaging and basic interventional techniques. You will demonstrate the ability to supervise staff and to organise and deliver education programs for medical officers, trainee medical officers, nursing staff and undergraduate medical students.
