The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) Mental Health Services are seeking flexible and motivated professionals to work on a casual basis to deliver high quality mental health care to consumers in the region. Working as a part of the multidisciplinary team in the community mental health service, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical activities including care planning, clinical review, psychosocial assessment and mental health assessments. You may also provide health promotion and education to individual consumers or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of consumers. SA Health is committed to policy development, facilities planning and advancing Mental Health Reform throughout the State and the community. The mental health system is focused on improving service integration, governance, population based services, consumer and carer engagement, and recovery focused care.

For appointment at the AHP1 level, you will hold a degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist with the relevant professional association. For appointment at the RN1 level, you will be registered as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate along with a postgraduate qualification in mental health practice. You will bring experience in collaborative development, implementation and monitoring of planned interventions for consumers with complex living skill needs. Along with excellent communication and negotiation skills, you will possess comprehensive assessment skills including consumer needs analysis, mental state and risk assessments.
