You will contribute to the provision of high standard clinical services to patients of, and referred to, the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Service within Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) and Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN). Providing specialist opinion on patients referred for consultation, you will support the delivery of interdisciplinary care by encouraging team-based, collaborative decision-making. You will be available to medical colleagues for consultation regarding patient care, as well as participating in relevant multidisciplinary meetings. You will provide strong clinical leadership and strategic advice for the further development and expansion of Vascular Surgery within NALHN, including assisting the Head of Unit Vascular (CALHN) with planning and organising the delivery of clinical services across multiple sites. As part of your role, you will assign and supervise the clinical practice of junior medical officers, contribute to teaching/training at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and promote and lead research activities, surgical audit and mortality/morbidity review.

You will hold a specialist medical qualification in vascular surgery, and be registrable with the Medical Board of South Australia/AHPRA. In addition, you will possess a certificate of Recognition of Training in Peripheral Endovascular Therapy along with a licence to operate an ionising radiation apparatus. With demonstrated clinical excellence in vascular surgery and endovascular surgery, you will display a high degree of professional integrity and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Prior experience working within a large teaching hospital and participating in teaching at an undergraduate and postgraduate level will hold you in good stead for this role.
