The Regional Manager, Mental Health will be strategically and operationally responsible for the delivery of mental health services within a defined rural regional area in South Australia. The role will involve the overall responsibility for the delivery of a number of complex mental health reform projects in line with state-wide directions. Providing expert advice to the health service and local area Executive Groups, you will use your knowledge and experience to provide strategic and operational leadership, governance, and direction for mental health services. This will involve working collaboratively with a broad range of government, non-government and private practitioners/service providers, consumers and carers as well as managing financial, administrative and human resources to ensure consistency of approach and continuity of services.

For appointment at the RN4 level, you will be registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate along with a qualification in Mental Health practice. For appointment at the AHP4 level, you will need to hold a recognised qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology and have eligibility for Professional Association membership. With demonstrated experience in management and leadership roles, you will have the ability to maintain and enhance a range of relevant partnerships, networks and relationships with key stakeholders within and external to the organisation, and demonstrate the ability to work respectfully with consumers and their families.
