An exciting opportunity is presented for an individual who possess a solid background in sterilising technology to join a progressive and supportive team based in Wallaroo. A historic town on the East coast of the Spencer Gulf an easy 90 minute drive from Adelaide, Wallaroo is one of South Australia’s most popular seaside destinations. In this key role as a Sterilising Services Technician, you will contribute to the effectiveness of sterilisation services by performing work under limited direction as an individual or team member. Primarily, your duties will include determining and appraising methods of work organisation, maintaining recording systems optimum standards of sterilisation and stock supply including the provision of equipment to the wards. In addition, you will undertake sterilising duties and undertake training as required and maintaining required skills and knowledge applicable to the role.


Essential to success in this role is a completed AQF Certificate III in sterilising technology. With working knowledge of instruments, sterilising methods and infection control principles, you will bring to the table satisfactory in service experience. Able to work independently demonstrating experience in exercising own judgement and initiative in the day to day execution of a position, you will have the ability to provide assistance and cooperation to other staff. You will possess sound interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds and circumstances.
