An exciting and challenging role is available for a self-motivated and innovative Registered Nurse looking to work within the Operating Theatres at Flinders Medical Centre. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the board, you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of professional high quality patient care within the Operating Room setting aimed at improving patient health outcomes. With the opportunity to use a variety of skills, your duties will involve assessing patients’ needs, planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery options and communicating changes in condition and care, in addition to monitoring client care plans and participating in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital providing medical services for the southern population of Adelaide and major regional rural centres. The campus is situated in the Adelaide foothills on an 11.5 hectare campus approximately 12 kilometres from the city centre.

Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. To be a strong contender for this important and challenging role, you will have a solid background in the delivery of nursing care in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. A team player with the demonstrated ability to work within changing environments, you will bring a proven track record in working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Good organisation skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision. You will also possess good communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
