  • Indicative Total Remuneration: $72,789 - $100,898 pa (pro rata) – RN/RM1
  • Two temporary appointments available: Temporary F/T up to 18/1/2018  and Temporary P/T up to 17/2/2018, working 45.6 hours per fortnight.

     

Becoming a valued member of the midwifery team, you will provide direct midwifery care to women at the Riverland General Hospital in Berri. As a Midwife, you will participate in assessing women’s needs and planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate care and service delivery. You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual women or groups. Working in partnership with women, you will respect and support their right to self- determination in the life processes of pregnancy, birthing and parenthood. In Country Health SA, we have established the continuity of care practice as standard. Dedicated to caseload midwifery, we will empower you to deliver the best possible care, with more hands-on involvement. Knowing that midwifery with Country Health SA is more than help with birthing, you will be able to go on a journey of care together with the women in your community.

You will need to be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated competence in midwifery practice in accordance with the appropriate standards, you will have effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. With the ability to work effectively within a team and prioritise workload, you will be creative, innovative and flexible in your approach to midwifery.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
