An exciting and challenging role is available for a self-motivated and innovative Registered Nurse looking to join the strong and supportive Emergency Department team at the Flinders Medical Centre. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the board, you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of professional high quality patient care within Emergency Department which is aimed at improving patient health outcomes. Utilising a variety of nursing skills, your duties will involve assessing patients’ needs, planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery options and communicating changes in condition and care, in addition to monitoring client care plans and participating in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) is the southern area's largest hospital providing medical services for the southern population of Adelaide and major regional rural centres. The campus is situated in the Adelaide foothills on an 11.5 hectare campus approximately 12 kilometres from the city centre.

 

Registered as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, you will hold a current practising certificate. To be a strong contender, you will have a solid background in nursing practice which is responsive to patients’ needs. A team player with the demonstrated ability to think on your feet and work within changing environments, you will bring a proven track record in working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Good organisation skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines, whilst working under minimal supervision. You will also possess good communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

 

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
